Belur: In order to create awareness among the voters about voting, a signature collection campaign was conducted by the Taluk Sweep Committee and Municipal Council in Nehru Nagar circle of the town.
Assistant Election Officer Tehsildar M. Mamata launched the campaign by signing and spoke that voting is the right and duty of every citizen, citizens should know that. He called upon the youth to go to the polling booths voluntarily without succumbing to any desires and temptations and vote without fail and also motivate others to vote.
Taluk Sweep Committee Chairperson T.P.EO Sunita said that awareness has already been created through the demonstration about voting in the town as well as in the rural areas. The government has made special arrangements for voting, through which he expressed the hope of more voting and requested everyone to unite to use voting as a wonderful power.
A team of officials on the streets: In addition to several programs to encourage voters to vote more, the officials here have taken voter awareness seriously even in the scorching sun, Tehsildar M. Mamata and T.P. Under the leadership of Adhikari Sunita, the department officials and staff are aiming to increase the voter turnout in Belur assembly constituency this time than every election.
Municipal Manager Prashant, Health Officer Lohit, Environmental Engineering Officer Madhusudan and other staff like Pushpa, Kumar, Salman, Vishwa were present on this occasion.
