Hassan: This time, former minister HD Revanna expressed hope that JDS candidate Swaroop Prakash will win from Hassan constituency and his victory is guaranteed.
Talking to reporters in the city, he said former MLA late HS Prakash has contributed a lot to Hassan’s growth as MLA for 15 years. He said that Swaroop should win for his soul to rest in peace.
He said that the contribution of JDS to Hassan was immense during the tenure of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and former CM Kumaraswamy, the district was provided with necessary development plans including education and health.
Under the guidance of Kumaraswamy and Deve Gowda, revolutionary development has taken place in the district. Contribution to the education sector by opening hundreds of colleges has been possible only by the JDS government through which 10 thousand graduate students are coming out every year.
But the Congress and BJP parties in the state have used the education sector only for commercialization, he said, “We do not own any educational institutions.”
He alleged that crores of rupees were allocated for road development in the district during Anudhana Kumaraswamy’s tenure, but today there has been looting in the road works in Hassan constituency and there has been a lot of corruption, in which engineers and officials are involved.
Revanna expressed displeasure with MLA KM Sivalinge Gowda saying that 15 years from Zilla Panchayat member to MLA was enough but he cheated us and joined another party.
Abobu said that he would not vote for Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy in Araseikere constituency after spending two years wandering to Deve Gowda’s house and then joining the Congress.
Norway Somashekhar will join the JDS party and will work for the party. He said that he will be given status by the party.
