Hassan: In view of the ongoing election in Lok Sabha by-election constituencies of all the taluks of the district, the District Collector has issued an order to enforce peace and law and order on the counting dates from 6 am on May-13 to 6.00 am on May-14.
He said that no grouping of more than 5 people or any other illegal activities will be allowed during the ban period. No processions, meetings, ceremonies, victory ceremonies and other public gatherings are allowed. Weapons, scythes, swords, knives, guns, sticks or any weapon that can cause bodily harm cannot be carried. The order said that no destructive material or projectile was carried.
Prohibition of collecting, manufacturing of stone or throwing objects or objects or moving weapons. Police officers are empowered to confiscate any person in possession of prohibited weapons, explosives and firearms. and the firearms in possession of such person shall be forfeited to the Government. Exhibition of nuclear corpses or their effigies or effigies, fireworks and celebrations are prohibited. Open sloganeering, chanting, playing of instruments, interpretation, gesticulation or mock performance and acts which may violate public decency or morality are prohibited.
It is prohibited for any person in public to make provocative and inflammatory songs, shout and display pictures, signs, effigies etc. that make people flamboyant and engage in any act that disturbs public dignity and morals or disturbs law and order. The order said that the conditions in the Representation of the People Act, 1951 must be followed.
It has been warned that action will be taken against those who violate this order under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
This Prohibition Order shall not apply to those who go to temples, churches and mosques for religious functions such as funerals, marriages, religious ceremonies and to those who have received permission from the concerned police officers to conduct other ceremonies.
