Hassan: BJP candidate Manjula Puttaraj has been elected in the Ugane Gram Panchayat elections, a severe embarrassment to the JDS party.
The leaders are trying to tie the BJP party in the Hassan assembly constituency. Similarly, JDS has devised the exact strategies to avoid power to BJP in Ugana Gram Panchayat elections, but it has failed to win.
Earlier, BJP had 11 members and JDS 6 members in Ugane panchayat. Meanwhile, former panchayat president Mahesh has left BJP and joined JD(S), but the BJP has displayed 10-strong strength and has again given a smile of victory to the JD(S) stronghold.
