Hassan: Ex-Minister H.D.K. is curious about who will be the JDS candidate for Hassan Assembly Constituency. Revanna has clarified that Bhavani is going to contest with or without Revanna and has opened the door to all the confusion about ticket distribution.
Revanna’s statement gained significance as the news spread that Revanna was contesting from two Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Hassan and Holenarseepura, thus confirming that HP Swaroop, son of late HS Prakash, former vice president of G.P. and former MLA, does not have JDS ticket for any reason. It seems to have been done.
In recent days, former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Deve Gowda favoured Swaroop Prakash, but Revanna’s sons MP Prajwal Revanna and Suraj Revanna turned against HD Kumaraswamy and now former Minister Revanna is also contesting Bhavani Revanna from Hassan Vidhan Sabha constituency. Or Revanna has hinted that he will compete.
Revanna, who had a meeting with the activists at the MP’s residence in the city last night, said that after the pressure of the activists increased, either he or Bhavani Revanna would contest from the Hassan assembly constituency. He has categorically declared that there is no other word.
Revanna has reiterated in front of the taskmaster that he has given a challenge of 50,000 votes and if his challenge is accepted, I will come for it. He also called the activists to prepare for it, and the activists raised a shout of victory at this time.
On the whole, HP Swaroop, who was walking around the Hassan assembly constituency as a candidate as per HDK’s instructions, was sidelined by Radha Revanna, the top leader of the JDS party’s Hassan district, and the JDS ticket was lost to Swaroop who was already away from Revanna’s family.
