Hassan: The incident took place on Thursday when the women of various Self Help Sanghs, Stri Shakti Sanghs and the activists of Karave Praveen Shetty faction expressed their outrage that some people are selling Madhya illegally in some villages under the jurisdiction of Bage Gram Panchayat of the taluk.
The protesting women spoke to the surrounding villages like Arasunagar, Yadehalli, and a few houses of Bage village and alleged that there is a lot of middle-market selling here, even though complaints were made to the concerned department and the rural police station to no avail, they lashed out at the officials.
