Hassan: Are the Congress candidates going to compete against HD Revanna in the great Jiddajiddi constituency of Holenarseepur? If there is no victory here or if there is a permanent stand, will the leaders of Congress against Revanna sit down and leave..?. Are they all trembling with Revanna’s magical power to stop those who come to campaign against his opponent..? There are many questions like this in Holanaresipur constituency.
Along with this, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s family’s traditional Edu Rali, G. It is special that the name of Puttaswamy Gowda is also echoing everywhere. This is due to the fact that after Puttaswamy Gowda, no other man came here to win against JDS. Despite such defeats, HD Revanna, who can easily win, won as easy as peeling a banana.
At present, there is no one who will win the political battle against him. In this constituency, apart from Congress and JDS, the dominance of other parties including BJP is the same. Aksharashah H against JDS which has doubled its strength after redistricting. Standing against D Revanna and winning here is not that easy.
Amidst all these, only the traditional opponent Congress has continued to file its nomination papers. In previous elections, Puttaswamy Gowda’s daughter-in-law, Anupamaran, tried to gain sympathy but was unsuccessful. After that, Bagur Manjegowda’s effort to harness his power also failed.
Now the same Puttaswamy Gowda’s grandson Shreyas Patel is in the fray. Aren’t only the Congress stalwarts who should have stood in support even now are putting their heads here? Former CM Siddaramaiah and DK brothers, who spoke very promisingly, did not turn up, which made the voters nervous. It is not true that this silence of the Congress leaders has made the JDS camp to smile with victory.
