Don’t make noise and become food for people’s mouths: Prajwal Revanna advises
All members discuss and agree on the items: Pritam J Gowda
Hassan: The general meeting of the city council, which always started with noise, was held neatly today in the honourable presence of MP Prajwal Revanna and MLA Pritam J Gowda.
Prajwal Revanna spoke in the general meeting which was called under the chairmanship of City Council President Mohan. As a rule, the general meeting of the City Council is held under the chairmanship of the City Council President. His consent is necessary for any resolution to be passed and presented in the meeting. In this regard, he advised that all the members should discuss harmoniously and work towards the development of the city.
Echoing this, MLA Pritam J Gowda brought to the attention of the meeting that in the earlier meeting, the members of the JDS party had told the problems of their wards in the city and accordingly the works had been agreed upon and no mistakes had been made.
In this day’s meeting, all the members discussed and decided on 13 issues and requested to decide to support the development of the city.
Speaking in the meantime, Girish Channaveerappa said that in the last general meeting, many things were unanimously approved without our consent. He brought to the notice of the meeting that such incidents should not take place which could harm the honour of the meeting.
Then Yogendra Babu, a member, said that commercial buildings are constructed on the land of Malenadu Educational Institution and the necessary tax should be collected from the municipal council so that the municipal council will also get income. Small businessmen in any of the wards did not pay the tax, which means that the municipal council that imposes fines has failed to take action against some influential educational institutions.
MLA Pritam J responded to this. Gowda said that if any deficiencies are found in the payment and collection of taxes, discuss them in the meeting and take a decision.
Parliamentarian Prajwal Revanna said that the officials here have not invited me to a single meeting regarding the work being carried out under the 15th financial plan in Hassan city and they are not giving me any information about the implementation of the plan. He said that we have full cooperation.
Echoing this, MLA Pritam J Gowda instructed the authorities to take necessary action in the administration of the city council and the advice and consent of MPs are necessary for the implementation of the project.
On this occasion, MP Prajwal Revanna and MLA Pritam J Gowda were felicitated with a Mysore turban and shawl by the city council.
Join hands for the development of the city.
For the development of the city, everyone should take decisions together regardless of party. Today, I and the MLAs are present at the general meeting of the city council. The meeting should be organized and a good message should be sent to the public, but our behaviour should not be such that the wrong message is sent to the people through the noise. Therefore, in the general meeting, he suggested that all the members join hands for the development of the city by agreeing to the resolutions in a non-partisan manner.
Municipal Council Vice President Municipal Commissioner Parameshwarappa and other officials were present at the meeting.
