Mangalore: Spearhead Academy, a centre for media studies is a unit of Village TV Trust (R.) located in Mangalore. The Academy which aims at training young Media aspirants to be professionals in their desired field of media is a unique start-up. Academy began its academic operation with a short-term certificate course in Photography on Dec 5, 2022, Monday onwards to which 40 students have registered and are benefiting from it.
Building an adequate skill set for young media aspirants is a key feature of the academy. While the Photography course is on, another short-term course, ‘Basics in Adobe Photoshop’ is introduced. The course on Adobe Photoshop is scheduled to begin on Dec 13, 2022, Tuesday. There is a huge inflow of candidates over 130 have registered to avail of the facility. It is turning out to be an international certificate course as the registered candidates are from various parts of the world. Not to forget, there are registrations from most of the states of India.
Before the first session on Adobe Photoshop on Dec 13, 2022, Tuesday, CA Valerain Dalmeida, Mentor and Advisor will talk to the candidates for a short time stating the importance of media and its skill sets. Classes are scheduled for evenings from 5 pm onwards. Professors and experts from the field will be the resource persons. On completion of the course, all the candidates will be awarded a certificate.
