Hassan: Assistant District Collector Anand has instructed the officials to take precautions to prevent the spread of the disease if any allergy is found in the case of fever in children.
Speaking at a meeting held yesterday at the District Collector’s office hall, he said that if children get a fever, they should be sent to school after they are completely cured. In this regard, the officials of the education department said to monitor.
Apart from the fact that parents should take care to administer the vaccines specified under the National Universal Immunization Program to their children on time, the health assistants and Anganwadi workers also told them to be careful not to give any injection to every child. Deputy Director of the State Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr Rajini said that the work is being carried out with the aim of making the country free from polio just as the country is free from rubella disease. State sub-zonal team coordinator Dr Arun, district health and family welfare officer Dr Shivaswamy, RCH officer Dr Chetan, HIMS children department Dr Manuprakash, IMA president Dr Basheer and others were present.
