Sakaleshpur: There has been an incident of theft by breaking the lock of the Birapur forest department in Alur taluk of Hassan district. A staff named Rangaswamy, who came to duty as usual, noticed that the lock of the department was broken and told his superiors Nagappa and Zonal Officers Mariswamy. Officials came to the spot immediately after learning about the matter and informed the police department. Sub-Inspector Ananth Kumar and Revanna of the Aluru Police Department who immediately reached the spot said that they would take the help of the dog force and cordon off the place and exterminate the thieves as soon as possible.
After speaking, Zonal Officer Mariswamy said that a gang of unknown thieves came to the forest department of the Bairapur area late at night, using an unknown vehicle and broke the lock of the office and stole daily use items such as four computers, one printer, four UPS batteries, one generator of five HP, and four mobile phones and gun cartridges. Thus, Khadimar informed us that the items worth about 4 lakhs were stolen.
