Hundi stole money at Chikamma Doddamma temple

Belur: Thieves stole a Hundi box from a temple and looted all the money on Thursday morning at Chikamma Doddamma temple in Ambedkar Nagar, a town under Belur police station.
At Chikamma Doddamma temple in Ambe Dkar Nagar, Belur town, the priest performed puja as usual on Wednesday evening, locked the front door and left for home. But between 2 and 3 am on Thursday morning, the thieves broke the lock on the door of the temple and entered and stole the tank in front of the sanctum sanctorum. They went to the back of the Vijaya Rice Mill in Ambedkar Nagar and broke the lock of a room at the back. When the villagers came to know about the matter and informed the police, the police arrived at the spot and conducted an investigation, checked the local CCTV and registered a case at the police station.
