Gifts worth lakhs of rupees seized in Belur

Belur: Belur Tehsildar and police have raided and seized gifts worth lakhs of rupees, which were distributed to voters, in Halebid of Hassan district, Belur taluk.
It is said that BJP District President and Belur Assembly Constituency ticket aspirant Hullahalli Suresh organized Maharudrayag and Girija Kalyanotsav for two days in Halebid and it is said that he had collected gift items in a house behind the venue to distribute to the women participating in the program. There was a sticker with the name of Hullahalli Suresh on all the items, Belur Tehsildar Mamata, Inspector Srikanth and a police team raided on the information and confiscated the silver lamps, steel boxes, gift items, silver lamp etc. kept in the house. The incident took place at Halebidu police station.
