Hassan: SP Hariram Shankar said that one of the accused has been arrested in connection with the dead body of a semi-bent youth found near the railway track in Araseikere taluk Anchekoppalu.
Speaking to reporters in Hassan, he said that Hemanth Nayak of Hale Kallanayakanahalli village of Araseekere taluk is deceased. He was working as a delivery boy at Flipkart. On February 7, he went to work and an investigation was carried out. Hemant Naik stabbed and killed accused Hemant Dutta of Lakshmipuram Barangay after he booked a second-hand Apple mobile worth 45,000 on Flipkart to deliver a parcel to his home because he did not have money for the parcel. After the murder, the accused kept the dead body in the toilet of his house for three days and then filled it in a gunny bag and carried it on his bike. He put petrol and kerosene on fire near the railway track near Anchekoppalu and set it on fire. The knife and other items used in the crime were seized and the mobile phone of the dead person was also found, the local police said.
