Accused arrested for promising government job

Hassan: In a shocking incident, a man, who had collected money from his friends on the pretext of getting him a government job at a construction center, was caught and later approached the Police Station in the City.

The accused has been identified as Sayyid Saifullah. He posed like a rich man. Though his native place is Balehonnur, he came here and got a diploma course. During this time, he has befriended many people. After completing their education, all the friends began making a living by earning. Meanwhile, Saifullah made a plan to make money and now is behind the bars.

He called his friends and promised them a government job. He also promised to pay the examination fees, and robbed them of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 2 Lakh and above.

On the pretext of paying the dues, one of the friends, Syed called Saifullah to a place and brought him in a car, and handed him over to the City Police Station. Further investigation into the matter will bring out the truth from an impartial investigation by the police. “Those who have been cheated should talk to the media. He had promised to pay the exam fee and the rest of the money too. He also gave us a cheque for the money we gave him,” he said.
