Belur: Villagers warned that we should provide a booth for the election in Narseepura village otherwise we will boycott the election.
The people’s representatives who come to us for OT during the elections that come every 5 years are not responding to our hardships. Now there are about 300 families living in Narseepur Bhovi Colony and there are about 500 voters including old people and disabled people, we need a separate booth. But since it is 2 km to go there, we are not able to cast our vote. So we have come to lodge a complaint to the taluk office to provide a separate booth for our village. If we are not allowed, we will boycott voting along with village members like Venkatesh, Pedda Bovi, Nagaraj and others said.
At the same time, Tahshi Ldar Mamata M. came to the spot after learning about the matter. Voting is a sacred right and no one should lose it. Everyone should vote compulsorily. Also, they have misled people by giving wrong information that there is a need for separate polling booths. Action will be taken against such people.
It is wrong to come the day before the election and change the polling booth for us. As directed by the Election Commission, the polling booths have been set up and we will give you full support by voting without any temptation without missing your vote for any reason. He also said that during the next election, your appeal will be accepted and action will be taken after checking the location.
On this occasion, the villagers of Bovi Colony and PSISG Patil, non-party candidate Paramesh were present.
