Public cooperation is important for blood donation camps

Holenaraseepura: Donating blood to the needy without seeking any reward is the greatest service a blood donor can render to mankind, said Public Hospital Administrator Dr Laxmikant.
He met today in the hall of the public hospital in the town with the office of the taluk health officer of the public hospital, Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka Government Medical Officers Association Holenarasipur, Raktanidhi Kendra and Institute of Medical Sciences Hassan, Lions Society, Rotary Club, Bharat Seva Dal, Tha, Electronic Equipment Repairers Association, Jain. He was speaking at the inauguration of the self-motivated blood donation camp organized by Sangh, Medicine Traders’ Association and Vasavi Club at his compound. In recent times the demand for blood has increased and it is a challenging task to collect and manage blood, and he assured that efforts will be made to establish a permanent blood donation centre [blood bank] in Holenarasipur. He expressed his appreciation that various organizations are coming forward and joining hands to make the public blood donation camps a success.
Dr Rekha K.S. spoke Today more than 35 people voluntarily donated blood.
