Belur: On behalf of the Health and Medical Education Department of Hassan District Belur Government Hospital and Bharatiya Majumdar Sangh, outsourced employees staged a protest against the government to cancel outsourcing and pay salaries from the government.
On the same occasion, Gopal Krishna, District President of Contract Employees of Government Departments, Mata Nadi said that there are about 65-70 outsourced employees across the taluk, and they are deprived of getting any facilities of the government. Currently, there are only 10,500 employees including drivers and lab technicians under the National Health Mission on the basis of contract and outsourcing. He expressed his outrage that the workers were running on the streets due to the negligence of the contractor and were not paid on time.
The government has increased the salary of state government employees by 17%. But only for outsourced employees P.F. Hospital medical officer Satish said that we have written a letter to the government through the district commissioner, it is up to the government to increase the salary of the employees, and he clarified that he will bring it to the attention of the concerned superiors. In the protest, Ganesh, Jag Deesh, Pradeep, Pawan, Maha Lakshmi, Hema, Savitramma, Bhanu Mati, and Geeta were present.
