Hassan: All Karnataka Arundhatiad Maha Sabha protested in front of the District Collector’s office and submitted a petition to the district administration to relax the conditions in the special recruitment of civic workers in 2022 and to consider outsourcing civic workers in the recruitment and to allow them to be appointed and to fulfil 6 important demands.
As a result of continuous struggle for 30 years, a special law was formulated in 2017 to make permanent the outsourced civil servants belonging to scheduled castes in all the taluk urban local bodies such as a municipality, city council, town panchayats, who have been working for the last 40 years, and in 2017-18, special civil labour direct recruitment/direct payment has been stipulated in various ways. And recruitment rules were made on the basis of reservation and all the civil servants were given job opportunities. He said that about 150 outsourced civil servants from Hassan district have been dropped from recruitment due to various reasons.
Considering some of the people in this list in order of seniority, the proposal of 3 female civic workers in 2018-19 has been submitted by the Chief Officer Channarayapatna Municipal Corporation to Hon’ble Project Director Urban Development Kosha Hassan, since they have not been recruited for 3 years, the families of the 3 female civic workers are in a precarious situation. R.Krishna, President of Akhila Karnataka Arum Dhatiya Mahasabha State Unit, said that the state government will demand that the chief health officer of Channarayapatna municipality, the environmental engineer and the concerned officials of the urban development cell, who are responsible for this situation, should be dismissed immediately.
