Hassan: Lorry Owners’ Association protested against the introduction of mandatory retro stickers and QR codes for fitness certificates. A sit-in was held in front of O’s office.
Meanwhile, the members who spoke, the lorry owners, have been self-employed for several years. Even in the past, we have joined hands with the government without violating the order of the government and are walking together. We are paying taxes to the government on time without delaying all types of taxes. But in recent times, due to excessive taxation imposed on the freight industry, the freight industry is facing a lot of losses and hardships. Now the government has issued an order to install a retro sticker and fitness certificate which is of no use and has put a heavy burden on the lorry, he alleged.
Hassan District Lorry Owners Association District President H.T. Annaji, directed by S.D. Chandru, District Small Industries Association President H.A. Kiran and others were present.
