Late firemen > Heavy loss to the farmer
Aluru: Due to an electrical short circuit, around 2 acres of crops were completely burnt due to a fire, and the farmer suffered severe losses.
This afternoon, due to an electrical accident, a fire broke out and coffee, pepper and silver trees are grown in an area of 2 acres in about 4 acres of land belonging to a farmer named Kumar were burnt. Due to this, a huge amount of crops has been lost.
Immediately after the fire broke out, the owner of the land and the surrounding people tried to put out the fire. But as a result of the fire that broke out in the scorching sun, its severity was mostly due to the fact that crops worth millions were burnt to the ground.
Immediately call the fire station in Hassan over the phone and inform them about the matter, which is about 30 km from Hassan. By the time they reached the distant village, the crops were burnt. A few crops that had died were watered.
About 1600 coffee plants, 400 silver trees, and 400 pepper vines have caught fire in my 2-acre land in the fire accident that took place today. This has resulted in huge crop losses. A situation has arisen where the bite that came to the hand did not reach the mouth. Farmer B.S. Kumar lamented that those concerned should give appropriate compensation for the loss caused to me.
As it is summertime, fire accidents like this happen frequently in the taluk. So it will be very convenient if one of Hassan’s fire engines stays in Alur for these three to four months. The public has demanded that the concerned authorities and legislators should pay attention to this regard.
In the event of a fire accident, a lot of disasters will happen before coming from Hassan. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, they have requested that a vessel should be allowed to stop at Alur itself.
Guddalipuja was recently held for the construction of a fire station in Alur, and now the work is under construction, it should be completed quickly and allowed to benefit the public. In this regard, the MLAs have demanded that strict vigilance should be taken.
The construction work of the fire station is going on in an area of 1.10 acres near the court on Bikkodu road in the taluk.
