Holenarasipur: Villagers have alleged that the price of milk collected in the milk collection center of Kattehosur and Mallasamudra villages of the taluk is being charged less for political reasons.
The milk producers of the village, who have given a statement to the media, alleged that there is an irresponsibility to turn to private dairies.
As if a politician had arrived in the village for election purposes, all the party members came to the village. According to the milk producers, the reason for giving a political entry to the dairy here was that the youth of the village shouted slogans against the opposition party. Since then, every liter of milk brought by the members of the association was charged Rs 32. Contradictory impression is that since last 12 days there is water content in milk and they are charging only Rs 9 per litre. The concerned dairy secretary and higher level dairy officials came to know but to no avail. We are supplying the same milk to a private dairy in the distant Marashetti village. There they are paying Rs 32 for the same milk. Many people including Ugresh, Paramesh, Ravi, Kodihalli Gram Vice President Srinivas, members of the Milk Producers Cooperative Association have alleged that how can the quality of milk which is not available in our dairy come here.
The Milk Production Co-operative Society named Nam Dini brought by the elders of our village has not seen any benefit now. Leaving the work we do in the morning and evening, we are going to a private dairy in the distant Marashettihalli village to deliver milk. The villagers expressed their outrage that this was such a dirty politics.
The cooperative has a total of 90 milk producing members from both the villages of Katte Hosahalli and Malla Samudra. 8 to 10 cans (each can 30 L) of milk was collected daily. Dairy weapon has been used like this on us who depended on dairy farming which brought economic recovery to the farmers. He warned that they are planning to open a private diary in the coming days without any rites.
When called for response to the villagers’ allegations, the secretary refused to come to the spot.
