Demand action against the perpetrators of the fatal attack
Hassan: Pradeep of Manchanahalli alleged that he had received a tender to catch fish in Bediganahalli lake after paying more than 2 lakhs.
He said in the press conference that I and some friends are in dire financial straits, a tender was obtained three months ago to catch fish in Bediganahalli lake, but the villagers are brutalizing us to stop us from fishing. He complained that he had done it.
In this regard, a complaint has been lodged with the Channaraya Town Police Station, including the District Superintendent of Police, Hariram Shankar, but to no avail. Recently, when more than 70 policemen went fishing in the village with policemen, Anne Gowda, Topegowda, Harish, Suresh and Shiva from Bediganahalli were carrying fish in front of the police. No action was taken and SP Tammaiah alleged that even though he was on the spot. Bediganahalli villagers are acting like this because of their support because of the current MLA CN Balakrishna, so justice should be provided to us, legal action should be taken against the attackers and Pradeep requested that we should be given an opportunity to catch fish.
On February 27, my friend Sahadev was attacked by some people from Bediganahalli village and he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hassan. He warned that the district administration and the police department should take appropriate action, otherwise the police department will be directly responsible for what happens to us and our friends.
Girish and Harish Sunanda were present at the press conference.
