Hassan: Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawara Matha has expressed disappointment that though a law banning conversion and cow slaughter is in force in the State, it is not being implemented effectively.
Speaking to media persons during his visit to Sri Gururaghavendra Matha in the City, he said that Governments had enacted many laws from time to time in accordance with the demands of the people and to suit the conditions of the society. However, he said those laws are not being implemented effectively and are becoming mere eyewash.
He added that efforts should be made to implement the law effectively.
