Muslim: Demand re-implementation of internal reservation

Hassan: JDS Minority District Unit Member Sameer Ahmed demanded the re-implementation of internal reservation for the Muslim community.
Speaking at a press conference, he condemned the BJP government’s withdrawal of four per cent internal reservation for the Muslim community.
The Muslim community, which has been receiving reservations since the time of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, was also recommended by other committees, including the Nagan Gowda Committee, and reservation was implemented.
Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda had taken steps to implement a four per cent reservation for the Muslim community but it was not right for the BJP government to withdraw the reservation by doing hate politics.
He complained that such a decision of the government is unfair to the Muslim community. It is difficult for educated youth to get jobs. The BJP government has already cut the necessary grants to the student stipend and Waqf Board.
He said that if the government changes its decision and does not re-implement the reservation, then all the community leaders will join together and systematically fight against the government to attract attention.
