Most of the offices are empty in Hassan too

Hassan: Almost all government services except the essential services under the health department were closed in the wake of the government employees’ strike demanding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission and cancellation of the New Pension System (NPS).
Service was not available in 65 departments including the District Collector’s office on Wednesday. The employees took voluntary leave and supported the strike. There was no service in all the government offices including District Collector’s office, Tehsildar’s office, and Taluk’s office. Initially, there was confusion among school children, more than 25 thousand employees of the district were involved. Today also all the government employees met in the union and took decisions about supporting the strike.
Later, the strike was called off after a 17% increase in salary was issued to the government employees in a discussion held between the Chief Minister and the president of the union’s Rajghatak.
