Hassan: Dalit Sangharsh Samiti Channarayapatna Taluk Coordinator Srinivas Jamburu alleged that the MLA CN Balakrishna has misused the funds earmarked for the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

In Sravanabelagola Legislative Assembly Constituency, MLA CN Balakrishna has completely misused the grant of the Scheduled Caste Special Unit Scheme by following the anti-Dalit policy by puppeting the officials of the departments.

He made a serious allegation that the money was released and misused by not doing road construction and other works in the villages where there were no Dalit colonies.

The social welfare department allocated fifty lakhs in Jamburi Colony village and released money without making a concrete road, duct and drains, fifty lakhs for road construction in Matighatta village, three huge funds were released under the same name in PLD Bank under Girijana Yojana, Hemavati department for construction of CC road in Hirisave. Fifty lakhs, two lakhs in the name of road construction in Kabbalu village in the name of GP Anuda, and three lakhs in the name of water tank construction have been released.

But no work has been done. He alleged that lakhs of rupees were embezzled by disbursing money without carrying out any work.

Apart from this, a lot of mishaps have happened in this way. The MLA complained to the authorities to no avail. A complaint has been filed regarding some irregularities and an investigation is underway. He requested that the District Collector should take appropriate action and investigate and take action on the misuse of grants of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Satish KV of Manav Bhartava Vudhya, Dalit leaders Rangappa, Madhusudhan, and Ambuga Mallesh were present.
