Lorry collides with bike: Drags woman for 150 feet; dies

Holenarasipur: An incident has taken place when a timber lorry collided with a bike from the rear and a woman who was sitting at the back got caught in the wheel of the lorry and died tragically.
Shobha (25) of Ibbadi village of Arakalagudu taluk is the unfortunate deceased. Husband Naveen and Shobha were going to their uncle’s house in Honapur taluk when a timber lorry coming from Arakalagudu collided with a bike from behind near Nagalpur gate of taluk. Naveen and Shobha, who were on the bike, fell down due to the collision. Also, the deceased Shobha fell under the wheel of the lorry and was dragged by the lorry for a distance of 150 feet and died on the spot due to serious injuries.
Naveen, who was driving the bike, sustained injuries and was admitted to Honapur Government Hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered in the Holenarasipur police station.
