Konanur: Friends of Wildlife, an NGO from Bengaluru visited Rama Nathpura Vahni Pushkarani along with Hassan and Haram fisheries department officials and conducted a study on fish.
On this occasion, Deputy Director of District Fisheries Department M.H. Nanjundappa said that this kind of work has not been done anywhere for the conservation of fish. Rama first visited Nathpur and this should be made successful from here. If we do not take care of the fishes, we will only have to show their photos to the next generation. Therefore, everyone should always cooperate for the conservation of fish, he said.
Harangi Fisheries Department Assistant Nirde Shaka Sachin said that with our excessive desire, we have not only destroyed the environment but also reduced the fish population. He said that the tourists are putting peanuts, puri etc. and this is affecting the offspring of fish, so our organization has come to distribute rich protein food and the sellers of peanuts, puri etc. buy it and give it to the tourists.
