Free speech and hearing screening and treatment camp

Belur: Lions Club Arehalli and Dr S. R Chandrasekhar in collaboration with Bengaluru East Community Health Center Institute Bangalore organized a free walk and hearing screening and treatment camp for those with hearing impairment at Array Halli Arogya Kendra.
President of Arehalli Lions Club Chamaraj inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
Speech and hearing defects should be detected, checked and treated at the primary stage so that more problems can be avoided, such as those suffering from these defects.
Many people in and around our village were staying away from financial difficulties to go to distant Hassan or Bangalore for check-ups. Keeping these in mind, we conducted a speech and hearing check-up and treatment camp for the first time in Arehalli and those who need more treatment will be sent to Bangalore free of charge and the treatment or implant machine will be distributed.
He said that more than 150 campers from various villages of the taluk including Kodagu and Hassan have registered their names for inspection.
Meanwhile, the health officer Dr Mamata spoke. On this occasion, Station Officer Suresh, Lions Club officials, Health Department staff, Asha workers, Panchayat members, Bangalore Speech and Hearing Institute staff, and campers from the village and surrounding areas were present.
