Beluru: 11 of the 13 seats were elected unopposed in the election held for the management board of Halmidi village milk producers’ cooperative society in the taluk. Returning Officer J.C. Savithramma officially announced that P.Manjegowda, H.K.Kumar, H.L.Gurumalesh, H.V.Rudregowda, Palaksha, Mamata, Chandrakala, Gouramma have been chosen.
Background;- In the annual meeting of the association six months ago, the secretary of the association presented the annual report and it was presented to the meeting about the profit of Rs. Noticing this benefit, the then President H.M. Gange Gowda through his relatives accused the secretary of doing wrong for no reason and for about a month the president’s relatives were making noise during the reception of milk saying that the worker should be fired from the diary. Also, he had deposed the current secretary and appointed the president’s son as the secretary. Noticing all these unnecessary developments, seven of the 10 directors had resigned from their positions condemning the president’s behavior, and then the Sakleshpur sub division had issued an order accepting the resignation of the members under the Cooperative Societies Act. After six months, the new governing body was allowed to be formed, and the new governing body was elected unanimously, and the new president and vice president were elected unanimously.
