Belur: An accidental fire broke out in the reserve forest area in Tagare of the taluk, the forest department staff immediately informed the fire brigade.
The taluk fire brigade reached the spot within a few hours and quickly extinguished the fire and prevented further danger.
Speaking to reporters on this occasion, Forest Officer MS Vedaraju said that this is the first time an accidental fire of this magnitude has occurred in the Tagare reserve forest area and the fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire completely on time.
Regarding this incident, I appeal to the public that wild animals, different types of birds and other living creatures live and live in forest areas and there are various species of plants and herbs with medicinal properties, so it is our first duty to protect them. He said that by throwing cigarettes on the side of the road, this kind of fire accident can happen, so all the public should cooperate to prevent such an accident from happening again.
