Belur: Among the 224 constituencies of the state, Belur assembly constituency is the most backward, and in the background of the high incidence of corruption and alcoholics here, the authorities should emphasize on making the constituency free from corruption. Belur MLA H.K.Suresh has warned the departmental officials that there is no compromise in the quality of works and the menace of drunkards will be curbed soon.
Speaking to reporters after launching the ‘Nanna Laip Nanna Swachh Nagar’ campaign held in front of the town hall, he said that everyone should join hands to clean the hidden corruption and alcoholism here along with the Central Government’s Swachh Bharat Yojana. It is not possible to applaud for any reason, because of the Congress government in the state, former minister B. Shivaram and municipal Congress members should cooperate impartially for the development of the constituency. Expressed the gesture.
The Chairperson of the Municipal Council Theertha Kumari said that even though the municipality has sent a garbage disposal vehicle to every house for the cleanliness of the town, the practice of littering everywhere by mostly educated people really needs to be stopped by the society. Belur, a tourist destination in particular, needs to become plastic free. In this regard, my life has opened a shop at IDSMT and Pumphouse Road in the town to collect and recycle the waste materials in my clean city and donate the materials there. He said that the new MLA HK Suresh should also play a senior role in the overall development of the municipality.
On this occasion, Vice President Jamilataufiq, G. Shanthakumar, B. Girish, Jagadish, Usha, Srinivas, Prabhakar, Akram Pasha, nominated members Paintravi, Jagadish, Manjunath, Chief Manjunath, Green Land Foundation Saubhagya, Antoni, Sampattu and others were present in the campaign.
