Hassan: MLA HK Kumaraswamy informed that footbridges are being constructed by Public Works Department in 8 villages of the taluk under School Setu Bandha Yojana.
Guddali performed puja for the construction of a footbridge which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 16 lakh to the lake in Singata Gere village under Palya Gram Panchayat of the taluk.
In order to facilitate the school students to go to school without any hindrance, under the school Setu bandha project, the foot Setu bandha bridges are being constructed and the villagers should make good use of this. He said that in the last 3 terms, the voters of Aluru Sakaleshpur Kattaya Constituency have supported and made them MLAs and cooperated in the service of the people and appealed to the people of the constituency to join hands again in the upcoming elections.
Taluk JDS President KS Manjegowda said that for the last 20 years, the people of this area have been demanding a footbridge and the MLAs are building a footbridge for this village. He requested that the MLAs be elected for another term in the coming days.
