Belur: Senior Justice Prakash Naik has said that the basic purpose of the Constitution is that every citizen of the country should come into the mainstream of society without discrimination of caste, religion, or gender.
Speaking at the Women’s Conference organized by Taluk Sri Kshetra Dharmasthal Gramabhivirdi Yojana at Channakesava Dasoha Bhavan in the town, she said that knowledge of the law is important for every woman and everyone should follow the law from birth to death.
He said that if we want to lead a good life in society, we all need to live under the law and today when India is celebrating 75 years of independence, we need to know the law along with constitutional rights and duties.
Nowadays, cyber threats are increasing and many people are getting into trouble due to such problems. Children have a tendency to use mobile phones a lot and to avoid this, cases like suicide are increasing day by day when the parents try to stop it. Parents also need to create awareness about this among their children.
He said that women are facing many difficulties in society and it is their duty to make them aware of the law.
Taluk Bar Association President B.R. Mahesh said that girls have their own sphere of action in every sector of society and the awareness of law has been awakened among girls in the past, especially the right to equal property and freedom of speech. The constitution has given them the right to use it and everyone should use this to face the harassment against them bravely through the law.
Mamata, director of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Sangh, said that Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Sangh is very concerned about women’s self-empowerment and the aim of their organization is to remove the inferiority of women and empower them socially, economically and educationally. Sanjay Shetty, project officer of Dharmasthala Sangh, lawyers Ravi, Brahmarambha, Hariprasad, circle inspector Srikanth, and Chetan were present in the meeting.
