Ambedkar statue unveiled in front of Taluk Adm. building

Belur: In front of the world famous Belur Nehrunagar taluk administrative building Constitution architect. The bronze statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar was installed and the statue was unveiled in the presence of dozens of dignitaries including MLA KS Lingesh and Sri Sri Gnana Prakash Swamiji of Urilingi Peddi Math, Mysore, with a lavish shower of flowers.
On this occasion, Ambedkar took out a flag-carrying procession along the main street of the town along with a group of various people.
On this occasion, municipal president Theerthakumari, taluk JDS president T.C. Ananthasubbaraya, former Safai Karmachari president M.R. Venkatesh, Congress leaders Granite Rajasekhara and Y. N. Krishe Gowda, Dalit leader Mariappa and leaders Gangadhara Bahujan, C. N. Dani, Doddaveeregowda, Kanayakanahalli Mahadev, Latamanjeswari, DB Mohan Kumar, GT Indira and others were present.
