Akkamahadevi is ideal for the life of women, Tahsildar Mamta

Belur: Tahsildar M. Mamata said that Akka Mahadevi, a brave woman who fought for equal status in society in the 12th century, is a role model for women today.
On behalf of the National Festival Celebration Committee, he inaugurated the Akkamaha Devi Jayanti program at the Taluk administration building. In the wake of the announcement of the Vidhan Sabha election, the program is being celebrated symbolically with the taluk-level officials. His ideals are a beacon for today’s women, he said.
