Municipal council to repair water filters
Araseikere: The city council has finally started the repair work of the broken filters in the water harvesting unit that supplies drinking water to the people of the city.
The municipal council is taking care of the maintenance of the water storage unit on Yadapura Road in the outskirts of the city, but most of the filters in the unit are broken and no action has been taken to repair them even after months have passed.
In this background, 2.54 crores of the grant have been released in the 15th financial plan and the repair work of the filters has started, the in-charge chairman of the municipal council Kantesh and the staff visited the water storage unit and inspected the repair work.
On this occasion, Kantesh, the in-charge chairman of the city council, said that the city council is committed to providing the necessary basic amenities to the people of the city such as drinking water, cleanliness of the city, maintenance of street lights, etc.
City Council Engineers Mohan, Harish, City Council Member Shambhanu Tipu, City Council Health Inspector Revanna and others were present.
